Hi, Youdopia. I’m spending a brief moment, Friday evening, green and happy, listening to a lecture by Gnostic scholar Stephan Hoeller regarding the gnostic elements of Philip K Dick. Good stuff, if you’re interested. If not, it’s audio waterboarding. Talk about dry. Hoeller makes Joseph Campbell sound like Sam Kinison. Hoeller even has a Hogan’s Heroes german accent. It’s really good stuff, just … drrrrrrrrrrrrrry.
I want to play a videogame. I think I will tonight. I crave fun. The poetic soul is, by its nature, gnostic.
When I played the Sims for the first time, I had an epiphany. They have charts of the essential elements for each Sim. Hunger, Thirst, Bladder etc. But they had ‘Fun’ too. To quote a friend of mine, “Fun? F-U-N… um… fun… I’ll have to google that…” It had never EVER occurred to me that fun might be an important element in life.
Go… have Fun… It’s good for your gnostic soul…
