I love this movie, Youdopia. It’s etched on my neurons like the lines of solder on a motherboard. Imprinted. This scene where Willard meets Col Kurtz for the first time… is pure genius. I have a thumbnail sketch comparison of this movie to the various Sefiroth (qlippoth) but it doesn’t really stand up, only has some good connections. I believe most of this scene was improvised, and all of it is genius. Coolest Shit Ever.

You’re both right. It’s such an amazing movie. The story itself, from my Joseph Conrad, is great… and incorporates the … ruinous glory of Kurtz.

It is (in my mind) as good as cinema gets. Everything about those scenes, w/ Willard and Kurtz was perfect.
asbolute power corrupts absolutely. When good men get put into impossible situations, or worse.. into ridiculous situations involving life and death, what course is there but madness.
HAL did the same thing in 2001, and someday soon someone will be doing that in the ungovernable no man’s land of the Afghan/Pakistan border. One day that diamond bullet will strike someone else.
