Wahoo, Youdopia! This really is the Coolest Shit Ever. Legendary science fiction author Philip K Dick, author of Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, Blade Runner (original title is Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sleep?), The Valis Trilogy, and a million more, is finally (posthumously, he’s been dead for almost 30 years) having his Exegesis published. This is the sci-fi  equivalent of Jung’s Red Book. Dick spent the last decade of his trying to understand an experience he had in the early Seventies. He experienced what he saw as an overlap of the present day, and first century Rome. It’s pretty nuts, and too in-depth for this blog, but…. read about it. It’s nuts. Read a page from it and see what we’re dealing with. He didn’t know if he was nuts, or if he had some amazing Gnostic experience. That’s what the Exegesis is. It’s his exhaustive notes working to integrate this amazing experience. Crazy shit, right? Well, in his experience, The Empire Never Ended, and we are all caught in a Black Iron Prison, and we’re really living in early Christian times. I know. It’s fucking cool, though.
