Coolest Shit Ever: Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters Reunite For Charity Gig. Pigs Fly (hahaha)
12 Jul, 2010 in Coolest Shit Ever, fnord, musicThe two main voices of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour and Roger Waters, performed together for the second time in 30 years, on July 10th. I can’t believe this isn’t bigger news. I found out while reading my favorite Led Zeppelin site, Royal Orleans. Someone mentioned the reunion in passing.
This is huge news to music fans. Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour, aside from the one off reunion at Live 8, in 2005 (which was awesome) have been like Paul and John after the Beatles split. I am surprised it wasn’t publicized, or at least talked about in the Floyd circles (which I sometimes frequent). How odd.
The boys played four songs, starting with (get this) To Know Him, Is To Love Him. I can’t wait for the cell phone videos to pop up. They also played Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and Another Brick in The Wall.
Even though it was to an audience of 200, it was the Coolest Shit Ever. Totally.
Since there is, for now, no video of this gig, I will instead post the entire Pink Floyd reunion show from 7/8/05, the day before my little girl was born. RIP Rick Wright.

coolest shit ever !!!
