She’s The Poor Man’s Gold And The Anarchist’s Crucible.

This is a fantastic, wonderful, glorious song that I totally forgot about until about ten minutes ago, Youdopia.  David Bowie and Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Bowie, Laurie Anderson, et al) put this out back in 1990. I had this disc, and it’s fucking brilliant. It’s not profound, it’s just a rock song, but the video is pseudo-deep, and some of the lyrics are just great.  The title of the post is a wonderful example of this.

“She tore into Paris on the trail of Tom Paine, but the left wing’s broken, the right’s insane” is worthy of a tip of the hat.

The sound on the video below is shitty mono. If you click this link, you can view the video in a much higher quality and in stereo. I think it’s worth it. Sorry. Dig the music.
