Live on Le Reservoir 2003

Thom Yorke Solo Piano

This entire show is spectacular. Radiohead were invited to appear on Le Reservoir (French music program) but there wasn’t enough room on the tiny stage to accommodate everyone, so Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood decided to play as a duo. They retooled all the songs to make them sound full and lush with just two instruments and one voice, and hit it out of the park.

Fog is a song from the Amnesiac sessions, and as Thom says right before he begins, they didn’t do it right. He corrects that here, with this hauntingly sweet version. His voice is perfection. I want to get him pregnant, tenderly. The video starts with Fog, but you can watch the whole show by just moving the slider to the beginning.

Thanks to Austin Brock for the video (Austin is the quasi-official video curator for Radiohead on YouTube.) and for all the Radiohead concerts you post. They’re a truly amazing band, and this song is the coolest thing ever.
