Yesterday’s Search Terms: The Craziest Shit Ever.
In the words of Theodoric of York, ” I, for one, am baffled.”(This just in. I have the quote right, but the skit wrong. Here is the transcript to the skit I was thinking of) I only have a couple dozen hits a day on Youdopia, so it’s not like I feel like I have to even wear pants when I’m around…. but… the search terms that people use to get to Youdopia are pretty … unique. The reasons that this is funny are manifold. Yea, verily the Nords and the Germans can’t help but be a little creepy… what with all the genocide and reindeer hearts. However, this is HIGH lar i us. HERE is why this is relevant to we Youdopians. It all started with Rockabilly Week.
It is primarily funny in a Borat kind of way, but the guy is being funny on purpose. However… he’s still German-ish and it’s like the SS Glee Club performing the Lumber Jack Song. Uh uh. Back to the mines with you, Klaus.

Sister Rosetta And The Ghost Of Tom Waits (Robert Plant and Alison Kraus)
Alison Kraus has the purest voice I’ve heard. This collaboration is genius. This song could be on The Black Rider (Tom Waits). Kudos to Robert Plant for embracing the joyous constraints of discipline required by bluegrass. This album is not full of effects and overdubs. Alison and Robert shared one mic, so …. you had to bring it. This song is beautiful, and reflects a sycretism of Alison’s purity (of music) and Robert’s breadth of experience. It’s 70/30 Alison/Robert and I think that’s wonderful. Enjoy.

What A World. Sychronicities Abound and January In Berlin… In April.
I am listening to an “unreleased” audiophile copy of Abbey Road as I type this. It’s different enough to bring out things I’ve never heard, and I’m a man who knows his Abbey Road. Why’s it unreleased? I don’t know, t’was Dr. Ebbett told me so. How do I know Dr. Ebbet was right? I’m a afraid you are a wicked girl. Good Night.
Dr. King’s passing saddens me, as it usually does this time of year. Bobby Kennedy (who had ok’d the FBI’s surveillance of King’s more… secular pastimes) was knocked out of his shoes two months later. Now we have another charismatic young Hero who speaks of hope… without fear. I hope he wins, and I hope he lives. Odds aren’t great for the latter.

Well, I’m trying… again. The drunk w/o drink carries on the Hibernian tradition of living on charm and bluster. For the first time in years, probably over a decade, I performed the LBRP. It’s funny how quickly it came back to me. I have been shown recently that I have no clothes, emperor-wise. And it’s true. My fingers strain to write in that old style… bile and beligerence, but I no longer drink. At least I don’t drink like that anymore. So… again I see that I seem to be missing a key piece of the puzzle. I seem to be like a very nice computer, with a fast processor, and tons of RAM, but missing the “g” key. The times, they are a-changing. So… I did the LBRP in an attempt to clear the air. It was nice.
