Youdopia, I hope that you know my love and appreciation for the works of Robert Anton Wilson. He introduced me to the rate of information acquisition (he called it the Jumping Jesus), and how information doubles every few months (now) and is getting faster and faster. That much is pretty much empirically true, as I understand it.

I know nothing about Ray Kurzweil, other than what’s in this trailer. I think it’s neat. I do not endorse it. If you get all huffy and say it’s bullshit, I will not be offended, nor will I take up the flag in defense. I think it’s neat, and it makes me want to look into Kurzweil’s work more.
