Fear not, Youdopia. The great Bob Dylan is just as inscrutable as ever. He has not lowered himself to shill his newest box set (the one pictured above). Sony’s marketing team did a great job with this old school style PSA. They have answered Frank Zappa’s question, “Does humor belong in music?”  Yes, it does. Look at Slipknot.

Part of me thinks the marketing team is awesome, the other part of me thinks that the marketing people are all under 30, and consider mono to be the equivalent of silent movies, or leaded gas. As my daughter says, “whatevs”. I don’t give a fuck. I am neither Bob Dylan nor a marketing exec. I am a cowboy astronaut rock star, from outer space.

Chad Vader, Day Shift Manager.

Time for an oldie, but a goodie, people of Youdopia. If you haven’t encountered Chad Vader yet, he’s a riot. He’s the Funniest Sith Lord Ever, for sure. It’s exactly what you think. This video is a spoof of the uber universally seen “David After Dentist”, with the kid tripping balls on nitrous and xanax after dental work. Good times. This spoof is funny only if you like Star Wars and have seen David After Dentist. Enjoy the humor of a meme that is almost 2 years old. We live on the bleeding edge, you know.

There is a movie coming out shortly, called The Social Network. It’s about the creation of Facebook, Youdopia. This is both topical and hilarious, Youdopia. You may have heard that noted Road Warrior, and asshole, Mel Gibson was recorded going off on his ex wife, recently. It was the usual verbal abuse stuff. “You look like a whore.” and “You’ll get attacked by a pack of n*ggers if you go out like that.” but Mr Radical Catholic was taped… so now he is both fucked and ripe for parody. He’s fucked because his soon to be ex wife will get ev-er-ree-thing in the divorce (thanks to her Jewish attorney) and the parody comes from (first responder) Jon Lajoie.

You might remember him from an earlier post I wrote lauding his song Show Me Your Genitals, which opens with the immortal lines, “Women are stupid and I don’t respect them” … lyrics which I only laugh at out of condemnation.

Jon’s new song is indeed the same low humor and hi jinks, but it also is the Funniest Shit Ever. Enjoy the Lajoie.

I’ve seen this a million times, Youdopia, but I realize that many of you have not. It’s from the old Andy Richter days on the Conan O’Brien show.  Conan, Max, Andy, and the prop dude perform Led Zeppelin’s Dazed and Confused a la The Song Remains The Same.  By this I mean that all the ridiculous fantasy sequences and all that, from the movie, are represented here as well. If you’ve ever gotten wasted and gone to a midnight showing of The Song Remains The Same, or if you’re a Zeppelin fan, this will make you giggle, thus making it the Funniest Shit Ever. The even have the Jimmy Page bow solo.
