You Say Swaha, I Say Wa Wa. You Say Nemo, And I Say Namah

in Jimmy Page, music, sadhana and dharma, wisdom

From my island home I feel a chance
To kiss the tired ghosts of time and circumstance
So give me peace of mind and let me dance
Bury all my pain of years beneath the sand
Youdopia, This song moves me in its simplicity, vulnerability, and tiny shimmers of hermetic insight that the boys used to provide before Kashmir [...]

Coolest Shit Ever: Robert Plant and Pearl Jam Performing Fool In Rain Live.

in Coolest Shit Ever, music

I came across this on YouTube. It’s Robert Plant and Pearl Jam performing Fool In The Rain at the House Of Blues in 2005. It’s fun, and awesome. Just like me.
I am now 41. w00t. Entropy. It’s all good though. I have the baby’s cold, and I am finished for the night, [...]

Michael Lee R.I.P. A Really Good Drummer Gone

in Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin, fnord, music

Michael Lee, who drummed for Page and Plant on all their reunion albums, and tours, died on the 24th of November. That’s a bummer because he was a joyous drummer who really brought fun to the Page/Plant tours. He played great with Jimmy Page, and they had nice chemistry. This clip is from the [...]

John Paul Jones Talks About Led Zeppelin Tour With/Without Robert Plant

in Coolest Shit Ever, Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin, fnord, music

Rockabilly Week: My Bucket’s Got A Hole In It – Jimmy Page, Robert Plant

in Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin, Rockabilly Week, fnord, music

This is from (I think) 2001, and features Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and the late, and legendary Ahmet Ertegun (whose memorial concert featured the reunion of Led Zeppelin) performing My Bucket’s Got A Hole In It. It was for the album, A Tribute To Sun Records. Ahmet produced this track, as he produced the [...]

Roackabilly Week – Baby Let’s Play House : Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Montreaux Jazz 2001

in Jimmy Page, Rockabilly Week, fnord, music

I don’t know why, but I’m on a rockabilly kick. It started with the Robert Plant and Alison Krauss business, jumped to Neil Young, and now it’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. This show was neat, in that it was a strictly rockabilly set, even though they did play Heart In Your Hand, that’s a [...]

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss Sing In The Mood In Germany

in Led Zeppelin, fnord, music

I like it. I also like the fact that they’re switching up the playlist as the tour goes on. I can’t say that I love it, stylistically, but damn, it is nice to see some innovation and originality. I do like the celtic/bluegrass sound, and… Robert Plant is sounding great. Yay.
