This is really cute. Two AI chat programs talk to each other. I think it’s pretty interesting. I like it that the guybot says he’s not a robot, but a unicorn. I do not fear a robot revolution anytime soon, no matter how dire the portents. I think it’s just the craziest thing ever.

Karakuri is the art of clockwork automation, dating back to Japan’s Edo Period (17th and 18th Centuries). Once the spring powered clockwork mechanism hit Japan, in the 1600s, the Japanese put the spring’s stored energy to use with art, flair, and grace.

These automatons can perform incredibly intricate, and detailed, acts like writing calligraphy, notching and shooting a bow and arrow, and serving tea. Watch the video. It’s totally worth it.

I’ve been warning humanity of the pending robot revolution, with posts like this, and this.

This robot is designed as a practice droid for dental students in (surprise) Japan.

She blinks, can turn her head, react to pain, and gag. Who said that? Which one of you just said, “Sounds like the perfect woman. Can it cook?”.

Jesus Christ, guys. That’s just wrong. Yes, the face, mouth and hair were made by a uber high end sex doll company. This robot is for science. All of those luscious features are there to create a realistic model for dental students.

If robots have souls, or ever develop them, we will have much to answer for. In any case, it’s the craziest shit ever.

Ok, Teach your robot to sing, but why dress it up and put a wig on it? I bet it looks like the creator’s mother. Eewww. Anyway, I’ve warned of (german) robots who  can lie, and of robots who serve ice cream (but do they serve I man?), but now they sing. Skynet has a music channel now. It’s the Craziest Thing Ever.

Well, Youdopia, I think you know I dig robots, at least I seem to.  Honda, pioneers of the ASIMO (eternally satirized on South Park as Awesome-O)  have developed a robot/brain interface that allows thoughts to control robots. Excellent. Maybe the robots will conquer us before the zombies. That makes it the Coolest Shit Ever. Yup.

Vale, youdopians. This is neato. I like robots, androids,homunculi, you name it. I know this android is more like a Hall of Presidents animatronic figure, but it’s still neato, and it gives me something to post. :-p
