We all have done it, and we know people that do it. People can be dicks online. Why? Because people can be dicks online.

Ethics and etiquette aside, this flowchart is one of the funniest things in the world, and I am a man who likes funny flowcharts.. Maybe it’s because I work for a social network with a million people, and I see this all the time. Maybe it’s just because it’s a perfect rubric for social behavior. It’s mob mentality even though you’re alone. Anyway, it’s the funniest shit ever. Dig it.

I believe it originate on Rosscott, Inc. but I found it on Geekologie.

I want them to have little hats, and bowties!

The crazy cat lady from eHarmony has been making it’s way through teh webs, and you may have seen it already, but what’s clever is the response video created by eHarmony, in reaction. The cat lady video is a spoof. eHarmony doesn’t do videos, and this was just a joke.

What’s cool is that eHarmony replied with humor and good nature. There was no press release or lawyers harumphing about defamation and libel. Nope. Any publicity is good publicity, and eHarmony’s marketing team hit it out of the park. They answered funny with funny. It’s not brilliantly funny, but then it can’t be.

I’m sure eHarmony’s video was created by a committee, vetted by a committee, and then changed at the insistence of legal and/or top execs, until we are left with a pretty funny video with a poor dude in a cat costume. All good, though. Still, collectively, it’s the Funniest Thing Ever.
